About us

The engine for Nigeria’s clean cooking transition.

Not a cooker company. Not a carbon project. A sustainable LPG distribution business with the supply, the last mile, the affordability and the measurement built together, because no one of them works without the others.

Why we exist

167 million Nigerians still cook with dirty fuels. It kills more than 128,000 of them a year.

A woman who cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner over firewood breathes the equivalent of between three and 20 packets of cigarettes a day. It costs households money they do not have, it costs the country its forests and its foreign exchange, and it costs women and children their lungs, their hours and too often their lives. Almost everyone agrees about this. Nigeria has a national clean cooking policy, a federal target and a gas agenda. The agreement is not the problem.

The problem is that nobody has built the delivery mechanism. Supply is arriving: terminals, storage, throughput, a national plan to take domestic LPG from 1.5 to 5 million tonnes a year. Customers are not. A household does not switch because a policy exists. It switches when somebody it trusts turns up in its ward, at a price it can actually pay, with gas that will still be there next month.

That is the gap GAS360 was built to close.

The mission

Switch 10 million households across every ward in Nigeria.

Nigeria has 774 local government areas and 8,809 wards. Ten million households spread across those wards is 1,135 per ward. The mission is that one unit, built 8,809 times.

At about 8 kg a month per household, we are building a supply chain that can deliver 1 million tonnes a year to those households.

Cook Clean, Pay Less is a multi-partner programme. Ten million is the programme target rather than one company’s, with partners taking territories inside it, several at once, across different parts of the country. The infrastructure is shared and the reporting comes out of one platform.

The team

Over 70 years of operating experience.

Across the executive team and the advisory board, everyone here has already built distribution into households. In LPG, in solar, in commerce, in Nigeria and beyond. Nobody is learning this market on the job.

How we got here

Built by people who have already done the hard version.

GAS360 comes out of KiakiaGas, Nigeria's first online LPG retailer, which our founder built and exited. That business taught us the thing this one is organised around: selling a cylinder is easy, and it is not the same as changing how a household cooks.

  1. 01

    We operate

Depots, trucks, cylinders, retailers, wards. Not a platform sitting above the problem, but the physical business underneath it.

  2. 02

    We measure

Every household verified before allocation and monitored afterwards. If we cannot prove a household is still cooking on gas, we do not claim it. That is also why our climate impact stands up to independent checking.

  3. 03

    We publish our learnings

Our pilots produced findings that we share for the market to learn from.

Which is what earns the partners, the capital and the licences to operate wider.

Where we work

Expanding across Nigeria.

Licensed to trade and move LPG in all 6 geo-political zones of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, with three zones activated so far and inland bulk storage infrastructure behind them.

Permits and letters of no objection cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, so a zone that has not been activated is a scheduling question rather than a licensing one. Any market opens on the same 30 day standard.
